Wesley Finch, Chairman
Mr. Finch is the Founder and Chairman of The Finch Group (“TFG”).

A veteran of the Industry
Wes has been developing, privatizing, structuring, constructing, and operating affordable housing properties since the third transaction ever financed by the Massachusetts Housing Finance Agency (“MHFA”) in 1971. For over 50 years, he has actively participated in both the public and private sector life cycles of subsidized housing.
wesley E. Finch, Chairman
Mr. Finch is the Founder and Chairman of The Finch Group (“TFG”), which was initially organized in Boston, Massachusetts, in 1981 and relocated to Boca Raton, Florida, in 1997. TFG controls a group of associated single-purpose entities, which over the years has handled an aspect of the development, ownership, and/or management of (1) condominiums; (2) government-assisted, affordable, and/or market rate multifamily residential rental properties; (3) hospitality properties; or (4) commercial properties. In 2023 Mr. Finch co-founded TFG Housing Resources, LLC, whose primary purpose is to draw upon years of experience to assist Housing Authorities, Not-for-Profits, and For-Profit Developers to create new or rehabilitate an aging inventory.
TFG is best known for its innovative restructuring, revitalization of distressed market rates, affordable and government-assisted housing. To the proven operational capabilities of the company, he adds his extensive experience in finance and taxation of real estate, making TFG uniquely qualified to participate in the structuring and restructuring transactions on both the debt and equity side.
Appointed by President Clinton to his Transition Team, Department of Housing and Urban Development Cluster (1992-93). Appointed by Secretary Pierce to serve as Chairman of the Special HUD Study Group on Government Subsidized Housing – Distressed Property Workouts in 1981.
Selected by Senators Mitchell and Danforth to an 11 member Bi-Partisan Low Income Housing Tax Credit Task Force (1987). The Task Force’s charge was to make recommendations for the here-to-for unsuccessful fledging LIHTC a workable program.
Served as a technical advisor to Barney Frank (D-Massachusetts) of the Manpower and Housing Subcommittee of the Committee on Government Operations (1983).
Appointed by Governor Dukakis and Weld as a Member of the Massachusetts House Finance Agency Advisory Committee (1983 – 1996).
Served on his hometown’s Affordable Housing Production Task Force (1976 – 1979).
Served from 2007 – 2019 as President of the Jewish Federation of South Palm Beach County two Low Income Housing Communities. The communities were sold in 2019.
Has served as the Lay Leader since its inception in 2007 as Chairman of The Toby & Leon Cooperman Sinai Residences of Boca Raton for the development, financing, and operation of a $400,000,000 CCRC containing 345 Independent Living Apartments, 48 Assisted Living Suites, 60 Skilled Nursing Suites, and 24 Memory Care Units.
Brad Carman, President
Brad Carman serves as the President of TFG Housing Resources, LLC, an entity associated with The Finch Group. Prior to joining The Finch Group, Brad worked at Ohio Capital Corporation for Housing for over 13 years. Upon departure Brad was Senior Vice President of Development and part of the Originations team. At OCCH, Brad worked with nonprofit and for-profit developers to originate and assist in all aspects of structuring and underwriting financing for affordable housing and mixed-used developments. Brad has experience in a variety of multifamily projects and financing products, including RAD projects, Choice Neighborhood Initiatives, Workforce Housing, Section 8, New Market Tax Credit Financing, Federal Historic and State Credit financing, FHA-insured, permanent supportive housing, and rural development projects. Additionally, Brad worked with development staff in the packaging and production of LIHTC applications and other funding applications, as well as providing technical assistance for ongoing transactions through the closing process and into operation. While at OCCH, Brad worked on over 200+ real estate transactions in Ohio, Pennsylvania, Indiana, Tennessee and West Virginia which totaled over $1 billion in investment. Prior to joining OCCH, Brad worked for the Ohio Treasurer of State in the Office of Debt Management as a Senior Financial Analyst. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the Ohio State University and a Master of Business Administration from Ohio Dominican University.
Myia Batie, SVP of Development
Myia Batie is the Senior Vice President of Development at TFG Housing Resources, LLC, and President of TFG Development Advisors, LLC entities both associated with The Finch Group. Before joining TFG Housing Resources, Myia served as the Senior Program Director of Enterprise Community Partners’ national Equitable Path Forward initiative. In this role, she implemented strategies supporting more than 80 minority business enterprise (MBE) developers across the country. Myia helped to deploy $346 million in capital through innovative approaches such as entity and project-level lending, credit enhancement, strategic grant support, and technical assistance.
Before her tenure at Enterprise Community Partners, Myia worked at Ohio Capital Corporation for Housing (OCCH) as an Underwriting Analyst and Coordinator of Policy and Programs. In these roles, she assisted developers and investors in structuring and underwriting financing for affordable housing and mixed-use developments and implemented grant-making strategies to benefit residents and communities where OCCH had investments. Additionally, Myia worked with development staff in the packaging and production of Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC), Federal Home Loan Bank (FHLB), and other funding applications, as well as provided technical assistance for ongoing transactions through the closing process and into operation. During her time at OCCH, Myia worked on real estate transactions in Ohio, Kentucky, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia, totaling over $250 million in investment. She has experience with various multifamily financing programs and project types, including LIHTC, Section 8, RAD, Choice Neighborhood Initiatives, FHA-insured, and permanent supportive housing development projects.
Earlier in her career, Myia worked at the Ohio Housing Finance Agency (OHFA), where she developed and implemented policies for allocating Low-Income Housing Tax Credits, Federal and State Housing Trust Funds, and other finance programs to support affordable housing development statewide. She also worked at the Virginia Housing Development Authority (Virginia Housing), supporting the REACH Virginia program, which provides grants for localities and housing developers working to create or preserve affordable housing.
In 2018, Myia was recognized as a Young Leader by Affordable Housing Finance magazine. She holds a Master’s Degree in Urban and Regional Planning from Virginia Commonwealth University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Community and Regional Planning from Iowa State University.
Dan Scheinman, SVP of Finance
Dan Scheinman serves as the Senior Vice President of Finance for TFG Housing Resources, LLC, an entity associated with The Finch Group. Prior to joining The Finch Group, Dan worked at Ohio Capital Corporation for Housing (“OCCH”) for over 4 years. Upon departure Dan was an Underwriting Analyst and took on a variety of roles for the organization. At OCCH, Dan worked with developers and investors to assist in all aspects of structuring and underwriting financing for affordable housing and mixed-use developments. Dan has experience in a variety of multifamily projects and financing products, including RAD projects, Choice Neighborhood Initiatives, Section 8, Federal Historic and State Credit, FHA-insured, permanent supportive housing and rural development projects. Additionally, Dan worked with development staff in the packaging and production of LIHTC applications and other funding applications, as well as providing technical assistance for ongoing transactions through the closing process and into operation. While at OCCH, Dan worked on numerous real estate transactions in Ohio, Pennsylvania, Indiana, Tennessee and West Virginia which totaled over $200 million in investment. Prior to joining OCCH, Dan worked for the Ohio Housing Finance Agency. Dan was also named an Emerging Leader in Affordable Housing by the National Housing Council. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the Ohio State University.
Stephanie Hayward, SVP of Design and Construction
AIA, NCARB, LEED GA
Stephanie Hayward brings over 15 years of architectural and project management experience to her role as Senior Vice President of Design and Construction. A licensed architect and LEED Green Associate, she has led the design and delivery of multifamily, mixed-use, adaptive reuse, and affordable housing developments across the Midwest and beyond.
Throughout her career, Stephanie has overseen complex, large-scale projects from concept through completion, including transformative affordable housing communities, workforce housing, and urban mixed-use developments. She is recognized for her ability to balance design excellence with technical precision, delivering projects on time and within budget while fostering collaboration among architects, consultants, developers, and community stakeholders. Her expertise in sustainable design, community-focused development, and interdisciplinary coordination underscores her commitment to creating high-quality, impactful housing.
Stephanie holds a Master of Architecture from The Ohio State University and a Bachelor of Science in Technology from Bowling Green State University
Blake Bendett, Executive Vice President
Blake Bendett brings a distinctive blend of Wall Street investment experience and real estate development expertise to TFG Housing Resources.
He began his career on Wall Street, advising hedge funds, mutual funds, and private equity firms on investment opportunities within the mergers & acquisitions and event-driven markets. This early exposure to capital strategy and complex transaction structuring continues to shape his analytical and disciplined approach to real estate.
Since joining The Finch Group (now TFG Housing Resources) Blake has structured and closed more than $400 million in Affordable and market-rate housing and mixed-use transactions. At TFGHR, he plays a central role in shaping capital strategy, leveraging a broad network of institutional investors, private equity partners, and lenders to assemble creative, multi-layered financing solutions.
In addition to his capital markets expertise, Blake contributes to operational and marketing strategies across TFGHR’s portfolio; positioning properties competitively, driving lease-up performance, and ensuring long-term stabilization. His dual background in finance and operations gives TFGHR a unique advantage in delivering housing and mixed-use developments that are both financially sound and purpose-driven, while thoughtfully aligned with community goals.
Blake holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Long Island University.
